  1. When I first started following your blog Jack I thought now there’s a girl that is destined to use the full power of the written word, if she doesn’t end up in parliament first. I never imagined that you would achieve both within a year. It is a testament to your compassion for the suffering of others and empathy with the groundswell of abhorrence at the national disgrace of hunger in the UK. You have taken up a big challenge in a world that may not always listen. I hope that you always find the strength to ride the waves. You have employed the words of the Dalai Lama before. May I encourage you on your journey with some more of his guidance..’With the realisation of one’s own potential and self-confidence in one’s ability, one can build a better world’ Go build Jack. Do not neglect yourself.

  2. I always find your stories so inspiring and heartbreaking at the same time your. Your story captures exactly the current problems people face it feels very much like a middle class recession. We were lucky we were able to start our own business after being made redundent but we had to do it with no support or help what do ever thankfully it worked out well for us and fingers crossed it is now for you as well.

  3. You are such an inspiration jack, I share your pain, I’m a single mum to two girls and in serious debt due to working for a company that went bust and into administration and not being paid (even after taking them to a tribunal ) HB doesn’t concerned my rent and so I have to add all my income support to make up the difference leaving me like you only a tiny amount for food utilities and everything else! Thank god for freecycle for clothes and house hold items and thank god for food banks.

I’ve sat there crying feeling so alone so finding your blog was of great comfort. I’m due to start a pgce this September so putting my all into making a better life for my girls –

Thank you for campaigning for us all jack I thank you for your courage and determination

    Bless you xxx
